Autumn walk and OOTD

My family came up to visit me in Birmingham yesterday and because we haven’t all been together in over a month it seemed like the perfect opportunity to go and explore some of the local area.

We decided on Handsworth park which isn’t too far away from me and honestly the autumnal settings made a great photo op for my first OOTD post! The weather was great and we got there just as the sun was beginning to set over the lake. Photos and details follow below!

This coat is from Boohoo and I was initially unsure when I bought it, as it is a style that I’ve never really tried before. I normally tend to play it safe in parkas and bomber jackets as they are so versatile but I feel like the length and colour of this coat really upgrades an outfit to something much smarter and it definitely makes me feel sophisticated and glam- I love it!

Obviously I am laughing in this pic because I’m not a model and really can’t pose for photos, but I adore this shirt and skirt combo! I bought both in H&M and I find the fit of the blouse is just so flattering and I love the classic floral detailing. The skirt is also a style that I love, as I find A-Line suits my shape well and it’s not too short or too tight which is great for me. The camel colour manages to go with almost anything making it one of the staple items in my wardrobe.

I bought these boots last year from New Look and I absolutely love them. I am definitely not the most elegant person when it comes to walking in heels, but luckily these are not difficult to walk in at all. I really like the lace up style and being black they go with basically everything. I find them perfect for autumn/winter as they keep my feet warm but still allow me to look on trend with either a skirt or dress and with trousers as well.
